Man Creates Community For Sex Offenders

...this is a little old, but it's great.  I'd love to meet this man someday because this has always been (...well, at least for the last 5+ years) a goal of mine.  I was fortunate enough to purchase a rental property after all the dust settled from my conviction, but the first place I advertised it for rent was at the parole office for registered sex offenders. (...you can read more of my story here.)

I had actually gone to a real estate seminar where the keynote speaker (...believe it or not), recommended investors to lease to registered sex offenders.  The thought process was that these individuals were so happy to have a place to live - they would take care of it and not raise any concerns that would potentially get them evicted.  Hmmmm...good approach!

But back to this article, I think the most telling paragraph is the last one:  "One resident said it appeared that drug crimes in the area were on the decline since the registered sex offenders moved in."

...how ironic.
